The facts that you have provided are too less. It is not possible to give any opinion since I fail to understand what sort of Police Report you are awaiting. However, in normal parlance, Police Report is nothing but the Charge-Sheet submitted u/s 173 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The Police, On the basis of the investigation, can file B summary or a C summary report. They can also file a charge sheet. The charge sheet contains the statements and documents collected during the investigation. It all depends on what sort of report the police provides to the court. Based on search report the case will proceed the court.
