I want to know some clearity on IPC 354d regarding text message

Is sending text comes under 354 d bcz as per monitoring it doesn't include sending text messages !!!nAttempts to contact means when a man following a lady physically ..so sending text messages don't fall under that too ?.?nI need a clearity on the above
depends on the content of the same .... it's a Grey area ...has q complaint of staking filed against you or have u sent certain msgs to some one and you are apprehending that a complaint may have been lodged against u ??? rest can be explained accordingly

Sending text also comes under Stalking : attempt to contact any woman for Personal interaction …therefore you are wrong at your part of interpretation ! Stalking includes texting, WhatsApp or any other electronic mode if woman doesn’t show her interest interacting you. B in touch

Texting a woman in the context of 354D would ordinarily fall under 'contacting' and not 'monitoring'. The provision does not specify physical contact and since the wording of the section is vague, it might require appropriate contextual interpretation. Provisions of IT Act would too kick in, in such a case. However, whether the ingredients of stalking are being fulfilled by a simple act of texting would depend on a host of factors.
