I made confession of crime now what action can state take against me

I want to know that if a person confess his crime of attempting theft in the manner of false papers submission in bank & transfer fund in one's a/c, what decision can be done? May it be in the favor of criminal?

first of all i have to make it clear that my response is based on the almost negligible information that you have given in the query. however i would attempt to answer your query. Confession by itself is not sufficient to prove the crime. it has lot of things attached to it. first all except for a judicial confession all other confession is accepted only with the help of corrobative evidence. also even if you plead guilty in some offences, the court cannot convict merely on the acceptance of your guilt. it has to be proved with at least circumstantial evidence. so you have to give the full details to give to right advice.
