I commited the crime of sexual assault when I was 15 years old

I groped a female when I was 15 (she was 15 as well) because I was immature, impulsive and I was also dared to do it. I've regretted it ever since. I have never been confronted by the said female and I've never apologized because I'm afraid of the consequences. Her friends witnessed me do it as well and they never said anything. I've grown up since and realized that what I did was sexual assault and I feel very guilty about it. I am also afraid that she might press charges or take some sort of legal action.

Yes…she can always file a case against you under section 354 or even under section 354A (1)(i) for sexual harassment and which is a punishable offence extendable upto 5 years of imprisonment. You need to apply for anticipatory bail if you think she is upto something nasty. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

if your question is on limitation, in cases of sexual harrasment/assault there is no limitation. The lady can go file a complaint to the police for suitable action. Witnesses would lend credence to the case.
