How to deal with false statements from witnesses

A had arguments with X. X filed false FIR against A and A's wife u/s 341, 323, 324, 509, 37 with police. X hired Y to give false witness. Y gives statement to police while filing FIR that A and A's wife committed crime and Y relieved X from A and A's wife and took X to private clinic. The private doctor has given ' All Simple' report. Now, Y understood his mistake and wants to change statement to negative. What can be done? Please advice
now the statement has been made with the police which has been recorded. He has 2 options either to accept his mistake before the court and speak the truth and face the consequences/ punishment (if any) awarded by court for giving false statement or he does not appear in the court when summoned.
