Got court challan from traffic police am I eligible for court jobs

29-Jun-2023 (In Criminal Law)
3 week ago , I was given court challan by traffic police for "parking" and "driving without insurance". Then I appeared on court and gave them 400₹ fine and took my document back. Now I am applying for a job in Delhi high court. I have to choose yes/no for -"Have you ever been convicted by a court of Law for any offence?" Should I choose yes? Or no?

It is not a conviction. It is a punishment only and that too with fine under Motor vehicle act. You have been challaned and deposit fine. It will not create any hindrance. You can mention NO in the column

Dear
Chalan etc. by the traffic police does not debar you from getting Government Jobs. These are very trivial offences that's why only financial penalty is imposed. So, you don't worry and apply and I am sure you will success.
