Generally, there is no restriction in law on the number of people you can authorize in your POA, but for practical and clarity purposes, only one or two persons should be named as representatives for court matters.

Firstly, from your query, I wish to understand that whether you've filed a complaint case or a civil recovery case, and how the DLSA has been involved in this case, as typically DLSA doesn't intervene in such cases. Secondly, at the time of filing, you must have appointed someone as your Special Power of Attorney (SPA) holder. If not, it's imperative that you appoint at least one person, who can be a friend or family member, to execute documents on your behalf, give evidence, and handle technical complexities of the case. The charges for this can range from ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh, but this is not a fixed bracket and may vary depending on the advocate handling the case.

since your currently residing in the UAE you can still pursue your money recovery and criminal complaint in India through proper legal authorization. Delhi legal services authority rightly informed that for case filing and evidence or witness proceedings, your physical present or representation through an authorised person family or friend is generally required. however, if no one from India can appear on your behalf, you can issue a power of attorney from the UAE in favour of an advocate at trusted individual in Delhi . This poa should be attested by Indian Embassy and then adjudicated in India and then adjudicated in India . Only one authorised representative is normally sufficient but in certain cases, you may authorise more than one person jointly or severally. once the poa is registered your advocate can represent you for filing, hearings and other legal formalities without your physical presence . you can share your details privately for case specific guidance.

You can always get a SPA registered from whom you wish to represent your matter. And as far as your physical presence is needed it can be done through VC. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Based on your query, DLSA generally requires either the complainant’s physical appearance or authorization of a close friend/family member through a properly executed Special Power of Attorney (SPA). If no one is available to appear on your behalf, you can request the DLSA/court to permit your appearance through VC citing your residence abroad and practical difficulty, though this is allowed case-to-case. you can contact me on 9 9 5 8 9 55305
