forgery and cheating by public servant

During investigation of scam an IAS officer has removed the information received from the author of information and under bribe have tried to save the culprits. Using RTI i was successfully able to retrieve all information regarding scam and made 2nd level appeal.My Query is Can I file case of forgery and cheating under section IPC 420,467,468 and 120 B against IAS officer and his clerical staff for manipulating the information received and without sanction from government authorities as it is not part of his duty to hide the facts and give wrong judgement

First of all you need to file a complaint with Secretary of department or with Chief Secretary of the state. And then if you are not satisfied with and have full proof then you can always file in the case in the court under the said sections. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Dear sir,
The query pertains to whether the prosecution against the government officials be conducted without sanction when the act done is not under his/her official duties. The answer is negative. Although it is partly right. please note that sanction will be required for prosecution against the government officer as the act is commited under the garb of his official duties and it will be constituted as an penal offence and offense under Prevention of Corruption act therefore, sanction is necessary from competent authority
