FIR pending (no chargesheet) – effect on govt exams

10-Apr-2026 (In Criminal Law)
I have an FIR registered in June 2024 under IPC sections 353, 294, 332, 323, 34 and MV Act sections 177, 185, 192 against my cousin and me. Till now, no chargesheet has been filed. I’m planning to appear for government exams will this cause any issue during selection or joining in state engineering or civil services?

It might create some issues. It's a pending case. In many recruitment exams, the advertisement says there must not be any pending criminal case against the applicant. Kindly check your recruitment exam advertisement/notification.
