Filed an FIR for lost student ID, do I need to withdraw the FIR

I had registered an FIR online for my lost student ID however I recently found it. Do I need to withdraw the FIR? If so how?

It is desirable that you intimate the location of the lost I'd to the p.s. where you lodged FIR. Otherwise at a subsequent date you use it ; it will imply that your FIR was false. Moreover you will be helping the p.s. by lessening their burden.

You must have given a missing or lost entry. So, when you have found it back you should inform the Police about such recovery enabling them to close the matter. If any FIR was registered earlier, the recovery information will help them to close the matter.

In case you find your lost Id card hence you need to inform the concern ps against your FIR that you have got your lost card and need not to proceed the case further more and accordingly withdraw your earlier complaint
