Father forged mother's signature to mortgage our house to bank

My father 23 years back forged signature of my mother and mortgaged our house to a bank, He took another lady to the bank office posing as my mother, now i want to file a criminal case against him, i need help on that, i came to know about it recently, if i go to the police station and try to file an FIR will they accept my request to file FIR against my father ?
