False eligation of abusing SC/ST what is the maximum punishment given

My brother is a government employee. He is facing a false case of abusing a schedule caste person under sc/st act. What will happen if the court gives decision in favour of him? What is the maximum punishment and will he be dismissed from his job?
You have not mention section of sc/st act while maximum punishment u/s 3 (1)(10) sc/st act is 5 years . If your brother punished u/s of sc/st act then his services will be suspended till granting bail from compitent court.

He cannot be solely dismissed on the ground that he has been found guilty for a crime, to suspend him from the job the government// department will have to initiate disciplinary proceedings against him and then only can they suspend him.
maximum punishment under section 3 (1)(10) sc/st act is 5 years. You always have the recourse to file an appeal if the lower court convicts your brother.
