Employee's liability for laptop provided by employer stolen from house

Who is responsible for the laptop provuded by employer is stolen from my house?
If the Laptop is provided by your employer to you, its your duty to take proper care of the asset you are holding as its your own. You will have to file police complaint of stolen property from house. You will have to do continues follow up with police to trace your laptop. If police fails to recover it then you can claim certificate from the police, that will be helpful to claim insurance if your employer have done of assets.
