Hello, In a case of drunken driving, you will need to present the challan before the concerned Magistrate. The Magistrate will then impose a fine at their discretion, with the maximum penalty for drunken driving being ₹10,000.

You will have to pay the challan to get the document released. You can either pay it online or through court. You can also try to get it done at Lol Adalat in December. Or, you can have someone file your application and get it done sooner.

If the licence has been suspended by court order (for rash driving, drunken driving, etc.), then you must apply for release after the suspension period through the Licensing Authority (RTO) with a formal application and court order, if any. adv Raman sahu
