Hi, with regard to your query Cognizable offences are those where a police officer can arrest without warrant. And in all such cases, after the arrest has been made, the accused will be produced before a magistrate, and the magistrate may order for a police enquiry to investigate the matter. Please note that based on the nature of the offence the discretion is left to the court in Cognizable offences whether to categorize it bailable and non-bailable.
