Divorced lady blackmailing for money if not given will create trouble

My friend had an affair with his relative .she is a divorcee .They stayed in a resort but she didn't allow for sex.both their IDs where given at the time of stay in resort .now she is demanding money from him.if he refuses she says she will come to his parents and tell everything.He is married and has children.what should he do now to come out of this situation.

I am not sure which proof she has to blackmail. This issue will be serious, if she go to police station and file FIR. This needs to be treated seriously but not legally.
I believe lot of phone conversations would have got involved in this. She may be threatening with the phone call records. Try to settle this matter among you.
