If you wish to go through the settlement then it's advisable to execute a settlement deed with the opposite party so that they can't file anything against you in future. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

Based on the facts you've mentioned, it appears the eviction suit may be a retaliatory action. However, your complaint under Section 156(3) CrPC is a serious matter. If you have sufficient evidence of defamation and coercion, you are well within your rights to pursue the case. Compromise is a strategic decision — if it ensures your safety and peace, it may be considered. However, if you feel justice demands accountability, you may proceed legally. Evaluate your priorities: legal remedy vs. practical relief. It's advisable to consult another advocate for a second opinion before withdrawing or compromising. Best Regards, Adv Adarsh Kumar Delhi

First of all, the issue of defamation and eviction are 2 different issues. If you think your case was genuine you should pursue your case for defamation. Further, you should also defend the civil suit on its more matters. A suit should not be a measure to coerce you to settle on unreasonable terms.

In that case you can if you deem fit continue fighting the case by changing your lawyer. Although it's a premature inference but I guess that since everyone is pushing you to compromise, you must be having a strong case. If that's the situation it's good to move forward strongly with right strategy and representation

No, if you don’t want to compromise you should not do that and if in real for which you have evidence, you have faced defamation from them, fight for it with dignity. Still if you getting what you have asked in defamation case while compromising then you can definitely settle otherwise not.
