Some people made a false complaint against Managing committee of society very well knows the facts ..They said elections were never held and committe was illegal..while they , forget participating or voting in elections ,some of them were even elected and ran society operations..some even presided over elections as were a part of old m.c . But they a clerk in dy registrar office and got an incorrect order against M.C which stated distorted facts . We had all records of elections, their several signatures on proceeding book ,several video recordings of elections and subsequent meetings etc .we challenged the incorrect order and got a positive order from Joint District registrar court in our favor. Meanwhile these Disputants went to media and made extremely defamatory statements about us ..ie. gifting fsi of society to builder..illega committee...in several newspapers .Hence we filed defamation case and got issue process order based on evidence .what else can be done?

First of all, as a Lawyer, I need to understand motive of those which/who are behind maligning the image of the managing committee of the Society, then only legal solutions can be suggested.
Secondly, you should broadcast the videos of that time when the elections were conducted before all the members of the Society in the presence of the Registrar of the Society to win the confidence of each and every one.
Parallely, arrange a Press Conference & tackle with the allegations against you. Distribute all the evidences including videos of the election process in the media.
If you follow all the above-mentioned steps, your Managing Committee will present a positive and transparent image of it before the relevant stakeholders in this case which includes Media, Judiciary & Society Members, etc.
Management Committee absolutely did the correct thing by slapping those, who were maligning with a Defamation Notice.
