Corporal punishment legality in India if given by parents

Is corporal punishment in India legal if it is inflicted by parents as a disciplinary measure? Is there anything I can do to stop my parents from physically hitting me?
You can file a complaint in the child rights helpline 1098. But you will have to realise that if the punishment is for disciplinary measures, then if it is for your better future and your well-being then it should be ignored. And try to bring out the best within oneself
