You ought to have lodged an FIR against the boy immediately. If you really want to prosecute him, then lodge an FIR against him by explaining the delay in lodging of the FIR in the body of the FIR. Don't disclose about his age now and let the court decide on the application of the accused as to whether he is a juvenile or not :)

File a case against him in the concerned police station. They will register a case against him, get you examined by the doctor. Thereafter if the police thinks that the offences are non bailable they will arrest him and forward him to the Juviline board and if the offences are bailable they will release him on a bond. But from you're narration it seems that the offences are non bailable...

First you file FIR against the boy. He will be punished by the court if found guilty. If you will delay in lodging the FIR, then your case may become weak. As he is minor, so Juvenile Court will proceed with the matter.
