Claim process in case of Death in Road accident

Hi, Kindly guide in my case for claim in dealth related in Road accident. Case details is as below : One of my relative aged 26 years (has service in state Govt job) was going for a ride in a car with 4 friends on a highway and the car hits a tree on side of road. Since car was in high speed my relative along with one other person sitting on the back seat of car died on spot and 2 passengers sitting in front (driver and co driver) suffered serious injuries. The person driving thecar has car in his name. The driver is also serious right now. Kindly guide what claims we as a family can make as per law. Is there any government scheme under which we can claim any benefit? Thanks in advance.
Generally no insurance policy covers the claim of gratuitous passengers in a private vehicle. So chances are rare that you will get any claim. There is no government scheme in my knowledge for the type of accident your relative suffered.
