Child sexual assault that happened 10 yrs back

Hello, I was sexually assaulted when i was 9 yers old (2011) ....almost 10 yrs back. If I want to file a case now Can it be possible. What will be the procedure? How will the investigation be done for the crime that happened 10 yrs back?
