S.Gunasekar Advocate Answer. You can file a Transfer Petition before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India under Section 406 Cr.P.C. (for criminal cases like 498A) and Section 25 CPC (for civil cases like MC) to transfer the cases from Andhra Pradesh to Chennai, citing hardship, distance (200 km), and the fact that one MC is already pending in Chennai.

The jurisdiction for the case will be both Chennai and Andhra Pradesh, women usually register their cases in their home town as it is her birth place. transfer of case can be filed in high court since you registered the initially and your daughter also filed case against them, transfer of case can be filed on the ground that both are similar case trialable by same court. feel free to contact for any legal advice.

Dear Client, 1. You may file a transfer petition before the Hon’ble High Court (Madras or Andhra, depending on jurisdiction) or directly before the Supreme Court to transfer the AP cases to Chennai, citing inconvenience, distance, and multiple litigations. 2. Also, seek exemption from personal appearance under CrPC if travel is difficult. Consult a local lawyer to initiate transfer and appearance petitions. 3. Consult an advocate to discuss your case in brief. 4. You may schedule an appointment regarding your case by phone or email at your convenience. Thanks & regards, Priyanka Advocate Coimbatore
