yes, the wife can appeal in 498A case. if the de-facto complainant that is wife loses in the lower court through the state government. if there are goods grounds for appealing the matter in the appellate court.

as per section 374 and 372 of the code of criminal procedure and appeal shall also lie to the district court if you got acquittal within 90 days from the date of acquittal and even limitation petition will also be allowed if there is a reasonable limitation

This suggestion for you. The case of the prosecution/wife case aquitted by the lower court on merits, the prosectiution/wife case has to prefer an appeal against the judgement of lower court then u have to face case before applent court according to procedure of law
