Can i use my bank account from jail

An undertrial who is in prison, received a refund of an advance in his bank account. 1. Now, can he operate the account from jail by signing a cheque and giving it to his lawyer 2. What happens if he has issued a cheque to another account and the receiver encashes it ?
Though the questions are not very clear, but what I understand, he can issue cheques to persons he want to. Issuing self cheque would be a problem. Cheques in particulat names and or Account payee cheques is not a problem
