Can I apply for government exams if a court case is pending on me

Can i apply for upsc services if a case ipc 504, 506 is pending against me. The case was filled without my knowledge and the case is false. But my lawyer told to file a bail and now the case is pending can i apply for upsc exams like IES, IAS etc.?
