Can defamation case be filed against complainant for false charges

Dear sir, i was arrested in a false allegation by an individual us 307. now my name deleted from charge sheet by police citing i was wrongly forwarded by police on interested witness. i was absent on the spot at time of occurenece.police also written on charge sheet. i am central govt. employee. can i file defamation case against the complnt. on basis of charge sheet documents. please guide me. i was in custody for 13 days
