Can complainant himself/herself serve summons to defendant

Sec 62 (1) of Cr code does not provide, so Is there any provision in criminal law for complainant to directly himself/herself serve a Summons or any other court order to the defendant by digital means (SMS, WhatsApp, email, etc) or any other means.

Yes...nowadays summons are issued by the party only. The court staff will prepare the summons and will provide you the same that you need to serve the opposite party through speed post and courier. Then you can always create a PDF file of the summons and e-mail or also can just whatsapp the opposite party.
