Can a women claim free legal aid on the basics of an illness

Aren't women entitled to free legal aid under the Constitution, esp if suffering from mental illness and are destitute?
Yes, every women who is not able to pay legal fees is entitled to get free legal aid. You have to contact Legal Aid Authority office, it is there in every District Court. This facility is available to every poor/indigent person irrespective of men/women.

yes, According to the Provisions of Legal Aid Services Authority Act, women can entitled legal aid by Taluka Legal Aid Committy, District Legal Aid Committy at the taluka & District level and also at State(High Court) & Central level(Suprem Court)
