Once the charge sheet has been filed, the court will first take cognizance of the offence and issue process against the accused. If the accused is absconding and not appearing despite summons/warrants, the court may issue Non-Bailable Warrants (NBW) and thereafter initiate proclamation proceedings against him as a proclaimed offender. In appropriate cases, attachment of property may also be ordered. As the complainant/victim, you should remain in touch with the Investigating Officer and monitor the proceedings through your advocate. If the accused is apprehended later, the case will proceed with appearance, supply of charge sheet documents, framing of charges and trial. Absconding does not automatically end the case; the court can continue coercive steps to secure the accused's presence. Keep all case details and hearing dates updated and seek victim participation rights wherever applicable.

Since charge sheet is filed, court will take cognizance and issue summons/warrants. If accused keeps absconding, NBW and proclamation proceedings may follow. Trial starts after arrest/appearance. Consult local counsel.
