In your situation, since there was already an NCR filed against him, any false allegations or threats from his side can be countered legally. If he files a false case, you can challenge it and bring up the NCR you previously filed, which shows a pattern of behavior. You may also file a complaint for mental harassment and intimidation if his threats continue. If you have evidence of his refusal to marry after agreeing, such as messages or communications, and if you feel deceived, you may also have grounds to file a case for breach of promise to marry under Indian law, provided his intent was deceitful. I would advise you to consult a lawyer to explore the best legal action to protect your rights and prevent further harassment.

Under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) Act, you have legal options to protect yourself from threats and harassment: • If your ex-boyfriend is threatening to file a police case against you without basis, this may count as criminal intimidation under BNS, which addresses threats that cause fear of harm. You can report this if his actions are intended to harass or manipulate you. • Since you previously filed an NCR against him, you can inform the police if he is retaliating due to this complaint. • If he is accusing you of cheating without evidence, and it affects your reputation within your family or social circle, you could consider filing a defamation complaint. • Although the BNS Act does not directly address broken promises to marry, recent cases suggest that an aggrieved party may have grounds for a civil suit if deceit or false representation is involved. To move forward, keep records of all interactions, consider filing a harassment complaint if the threats persist, and consult a lawyer who can help determine if a defamation or civil suit may apply. These steps can help safeguard you from unjust claims and further distress.

Here are some steps you might consider: 1. Consult a Lawyer: Given the complexity of the situation, you should consult a lawyer who specializes in family law. They can advise you on your rights, especially concerning false allegations or threats to involve the police. 2. Document Everything: Keep a record of all communications between you and your partner, especially if he has threatened you with legal action or made false accusations. This evidence can be useful if you need to defend yourself legally. 3. Consider Filing a Complaint: If you feel threatened or harassed, you may have the option to file a formal complaint with the police. This could provide legal protection if he tries to file a false case against you. 4. Seek Support: Emotional support is also essential. Talking to family members, friends, or even a counselor can help you manage the stress and make clearer decisions.

Well, you cannot do anything legally except filing a Rape Case, if he had promised you to marry and relying upon that sole promise, you kept on engaging with him physically, but, ultimately, he intentionally broke such promise, so as to escape from you getting married.
