05-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I currently have AB for my 498a. The IO has indicated that she will file the chargesheet in a day. Do i need to take regular bail after that or will my AB be converted to regular bail?

for the offence 498 A after filling of Charge sheet normally magistrate will issue summons to you, on receipt of the summons you need to appear before the Magistrate and take regular bail Under Section 437 of Cr.P.C., if you are not taknen the regular Bail earlier for the same crime.

No sir, AB is deferent from the RB bail. AB is applying in event of apprehension to arrest the pesron and realease on bail in the event of arrested him. The RB bail is when the accused is appear to court and get bail by applying application for grant of bail for enlarge on bail.

1. Even if the charges are added or kept same, now it has come to the stage of CC. So, You have to obtain regular bail. Otherwise, IO may misuse her power to arrest you in future as you only avalied AB.

2. Get the copies of CS and approach a lawyer.
