Action against corrupted Police

Good morning,My friend has accidentally hit a person with a bike.It was not even his mistake.A person hit him from back and his brake has failed and hit the person before him. Unfortunately,after 3 days in hospital,the person was dead.He spoke with the victim's family members and they agreed not to file an FIR.But,the SI of that jurisdiction is calling him frequently and asking for money.He gave the SI 20000 yesterday and today he called him again to the station.What should he do?
hi you could approach the court against the police officer who is demanding money from you and seek direction from court to not to harass you and also you could give police complaint in the matter and obtain relief
