Acquittal by benefit of doubt and Government job?

07-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I was Acquitted with benefit of doubt in a false case put on me under section 160 IPC and 68-1-14 of Excise Act 1914. Am I eligible for Government job like UPSC/SSC? Also can I apply for honorable acquittal after 7 months of verdict? Thank you.

Hello mere acquittal may not be sufficient to apply for the government job as in many forms you have to declare that there is no criminal case on you. However I will have to read your acqittal judgement from the court so as to arrive at a probable solution. please share other details to advice appropriately

Yes you are well eligible. In these sections also if one is guilty than also he/she are eligible for government jobs. No matter the verdict is after seven years seven days or seven months it will not affect you to apply for your government job

Since you are acquitted with benefit of doubt, you can apply for government jobs be it UPSC or SSC.
But, you can't apply for honorable acquittal after seven months of verdict as there is a limitation period for this.
