“It is alleged that the accused has been habitually receiving stolen property on different dates, thereby indicating a continuing course of illegal conduct.” Another legal drafting style: “The investigation reveals that the accused was repeatedly involved in receiving stolen property on various dates, suggesting habitual involvement in such offences.” This wording is generally used in matters relating to offences under Indian Penal Code, particularly Section 411 IPC and Section 413 IPC.

there is no direct Section 417 within the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 that deals with a major crime. The BNS contains only 358 sections, whereas the Indian Penal Code (IPC) had 511, yes it affects criminal sections of bns but not the one mentioned hereinabove, also it is a crime in general to receive and use stolen property with knowledge and if it has happened 7-8 times that is not a coincidence he is co-accused in the crime
