Culpable homicide amounting to murder is a grave offense and is non-compoundable under Section 320 of the CrPC. In cases involving offenses causing death, the case cannot be compromised. Furthermore, a dying declaration is regarded as strong evidence and holds substantial value. Based solely on a credible dying declaration, the court can convict the accused.
