A case of 498 filed by my daughter

My daughter wants to postpone date for her statement in 498 case as we have filed petition for divorce by mutual consent as 3 months are still remains for final divorce date.also if we take 498 case back before divorce we have fear that boy may file manhani case defamation case against us .Please reply how we can extend date for 498 case ?
Dear Sir,
you can extend a date by filling an exemption application before the Hon'ble Court asking them to give you another date due to some reason for non appearance of your daughter. a date would be given to you which is the only way out here to get a next date. you may also ask the court that the Divorce Petition is pending and if the Divorce is granted you shall withdraw the complaint for which you can seek another date as well.
