498A Quashing in High Court ,Exempt from Attending Court

01-May-2025 (In Criminal Law)
Hello , My wife put false case on myself and parents and sister and brother in law. The case is in stage . Accused is directed to execute self bond. My parents and sister ,brother in law approached high court for quashing charge sheet. It is in high court but our prayer was to exempt (parents ,sister and brother in law) from attending court which court granted. Do they have to still execute self bond? Do they need to come for every summon Please advise

They do not need to attend each hearing if exemption is granted. But unless the High Court also stayed or quashed the proceedings or specifically waived self-bond, they might still be asked to execute the bond. It’s best to file an application in the trial court with the High Court order and seek full clarity and directions.
