What are the documents i should ask for before accepting the post

A relative of mine has asked me to become director of a company run by his wife. The relative is CA. I want to know what are the documents that I should ask before joining. Is there any loopholes that can be misused. The company has not made any profit in last two years. What are the bonds. Am I liable for court proceedings if a loan in taken on behalf of company. Should i ask for any document from company before joining. Thank you

You should know memorandum of association, articles of association and nature of business of the said company.
Firstly check whether or not its a private ltd or a public company (listed).
DSC (Digital signature)
ID proof(aadhar pan etc)
Proof of residence(Bills)
DIN(Director Identification Number)
Bank Account details
Forms to be filled DIR3 from (existing company)
New company (Spice E form)
DIR12 form
MBP1 form
Affidavits in accordance with Companies act 2013
