Need information regarding directorship of company

Whether after death of husband ,his directorship in pvt Ltd can have right to wife in liew of goodwill in company for long service .

Dear Client,
Directorship is not heritable. Even for Private Companies also, there is a procedure laid down by Companies Act for electing the wife of deceased for directorship. Goodwill may work out for choosing her as prospective director. But eligibility criteria must be met, for which one must have looked into Companies Act. Procedure for selection of director has to be followed.

it depends upon the mou and aoa entered by the promoters and directors who initially made it usually the directorship shall depend upon the volume of shares owned and the as if the person who characterized as the prominent and his shares bequeathed to the legatee then she is entitled to be a director
