It is mandatory to register your website as per the laws of India irrespective of the fact that you are a private Ltd company or of any other sort of business entity. If you are doing your business online and are generating revenues out of it then as per the press note 3 you will be termed as 'intermediary' and it is mandatory for you to get registered, display your entity details in full, have your own terms of use, privacy policy, grievance committee and so on.

There is no mandate to register a Pvt. Ltd company or even a one person company for that matter. You may go ahead and create a website; there is no legal prohibition as such. However, I would like to understand the funding aspects of this model. I will b in a position to advise you better if you could share further details.

Hi it is advisable to open a private limited company or properiter or LLP as you would be doing business and in absence of such entity you would not be able to smoothly run the business. It becomes easier to deal with vendors and clients and receive flaw less payments. Upon registration you would be issued with PAN card, Service Tax Registration and bank accounts without which you cannot do business. Should you require anything further, please feel free to contact us.
