Enforciability of differential salary for probabtioner/non-probationer

14-Apr-2023 (In Corporate Law)
I seek to understand if an employee who is under probation period can be paid a different salary/remunerationfrom that what is paid to a confirmed/ regular employee in a private company. I understand that this is not possible in case of Government employees and that the remuneration paid to a probationer and a non-probationer has to be the same provide the two carry out similar work.

Whether an employee who is under probation period is paid a different salary/remuneration vs what is paid to a confirmed / regular employee in a private company depends on the policies adopted by the private company.
