CorelDRAW Software Compliance - using of unlicenced software

22-Dec-2023 (In Corporate Law)
Hi, I received a couple of emails from coral draw Compliance team. This mail is regarding the unlicensed installations/instances of “CorelDraw Graphics Suite” software installed/used in our organization. Now, they are threatening us to go legal with this matter. And I don't know how to proceed with this issue. Kindly advice. I have already checked with my team. No one is using coral draw software as on today from my team.

Kindly confirm the domain addresses of the team, which are joined as portals on your Local Area Network. Print those e-mails and relevant documents attached in the e-mails. Also bring all the Mac addresses mounted on your Internet Service Provider at your all places of business. Arrange a meeting with all the facts and relevant documents. Do not make any payments and/or promises yet. Try not to reveal much information in reply email, if any. Ask for proofs of allegations from them. Print those alleged proofs as well for perusal. Only after looking at your documents, any Advocate would advise properly. Additional facts maybe discussed during the appointment based meeting. Legal issues may cause hardship to your establishment citing updated and stringent cyber laws. Act quickly to protect your legal rights. Feel free to connect.
