legal issues when using short clips(<10 sec) from Hollywood movies

12-Aug-2023 (In Trademark & Copyright Law)
I am creating a website for a project purpose (currently not for generating any revenue) and I am using clips from hollywood movies in my website which is the websites selling point. For some context, it's similar to playphrase.me . The video clips are short and there is no way I would be displaying an entire movie on my website. Now my question is will the owners reach out to me and book me for copyright infringement? Is there any way to deal with this? Is it possible to use the clips somehow?

Well, I do not think so, that, the Copyright Owners will reach out to you for Copyright Infringement, if you do not do marketing of your Website. If you will do marketing of your Website for commercial purpose by using their Hollywood Movie clips for which you not even have got licence to broadcast on your Website, then, they may sue you for Copyright Infringement after becoming aware through your marketing on Social Media Sites, that, you have done Infringement.
