Hello, Can i file criminal complaint under section 63 of the Copyright Act for Infringement of copyright directly before magistrate or do i need to register an FIR first?

Criminal complaint can directly be filed before the magistrate. As per section 190 of the criminal procedure code, a magistrate may take cognizance of a criminal offence on a complaint, fir, or suo moto. it is upto you.
