query on amendment application format

07-Jul-2026 (In Consumer Court Law)
I filed a consumer complaint. Later, I filed an IA seeking amendment by annexing a consolidated amended complaint because the original complaint had no paragraph numbering. The Registry returned the IA with objection as not in corect format of amendment petition. Should I simply correct the defects and refile the same IA, or should I discard it and file a fresh amendment application? Is an IA for amendment maintainable before the District CC, and what is the correct legal provision and format

You can post this response: > An application seeking amendment is maintainable before the District Consumer Commission. If the Registry has only returned it with objections, you may rectify the defects and refile the same IA in the proper format unless specifically directed to file a fresh one. The application should clearly set out the proposed amendments and the reasons for them, along with the amended complaint.
