Gym not allowing cancellation of membership

02-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
I paid 26000 for an annual package which I now want to cancel. I have only visited the gym for 6 days though membership got activated from 12th August. Is it not illegal for the gym to not allow cancellation in the sense that they are not refunding any amount of money. Do I need to go to consumer court for this?

You have to check the terms and conditions put forth by the gym regarding their cancellation policy. If things are in your favour then you can definitely take legal action against them. But the conditions are essential in this case.

you didnot mentioned what are the rules and regulations of that gym regarding membership. it is necessary to make sure that the said gym has a valid registration number. the problem you have described so far, apparantly, it is a fit case to file a consumer case, but be sure of the facts as queried above.
