Consumer rights for a faulty new motorcycle.

19-Apr-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Actually i brought a new motorcycle yesterday that is a yamaha fz 250 . At the delivery time when checking the bike the gear was extremely hard . I enquired about it and they told me that if you find more problem, take it to the service centre. But today i am finding it very hard to change the gears and i think they have delivered me a faulty product. So i wanted to know if there are any laws for replacement or refund for the faulty motorcycle. Or if they repair it should i take any written document from the showroom that the problem won't occur in the future and if it does i will be liable for replacement or refund . ? And can anyone please guide me though the legal procedures if they refuse to do so . Thanks for your valuable time for reading my problem

Collect all the papers of your bike purchase and than go the service workshop and talk to them about the problem. If they advice you to change parts go ahead and do it. But don't forget to mention every detail in paper or memo of the service workshop. After repairing your bike contact your lawyer and file a case in the consumer court complaining about the defect and prove it with the repairing memos.
