Why am I facing difficulty in PG on my new name after marriage?

04-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
My full name (including first and the last name) has been changed after marriage. I went through the legal procedure of changing name after marriage and in all my official documents (adhar card, passport, domicile certificate, etc), I am known by my new name. But in my old academic records (10th and 12th marksheet, UG marksheet), my old name has been mentioned. Now I am facing difficulty in getting admission for PG on my new name as they are only accepting my previous academic records.

How you have changed your name matters. Was it through some notarized affidavit or through gazette Notification? If it was through only affidavit, then it is not a legal way to change your name. The only official way is through gazette notification, afterwards you can change your name in any document you want. I can help you regarding publishing your name in the gazette. Contact me for further guidance.
