What is the validity of old land passbook

Sir ,i recently found land passbook in my home with the name of father of the my grand father .is it useful to me ?

Yes. it is useful.
Please approach the Mandal Revenue office to get to know the status of ownership as per government records.
if the property has not been mutated (i.e passbook continues to remain in the name of father of grand father), please get the land records mutated using the family member certificate.
if the property has been transferred to any other person name, try to find out whether there was a genuine sale/ transfer.
If the transfer is suspicious, you can file a suit for declaratory title in your name.

Dear Client,
You may found land pass book. Whether the land is in your possession or it was sold long back. You must verify the local Revenue Records. You must have to trace the land. If you are the owner after your forefathers, then you can obtain new pass book on the basis of old pass book in your name by applying on the basis of old land pass book. There is no time limit for the said land pass book.
